Forum > Has Eros Banned Your Ad Yet?
Here are the comments of a dialogue between myself & one of our GD members:
"This is precisely the reason why I firmly believe that escorts and adult providers need to
diversify their lead sources and marketing channels the same as any other business owner.
I don't even suggest they only use just the search engines for marketing.
" It's vital to have a wide net cast with Google Maps, Google organic, social media, escort directories,
local business directories/review sites (CitySearch, InsiderPages, etc), YouTube and so on.
Noone controls the rules and guidelines for any of these marketing channels especially where
adult content is concerned. It's just prudent to cover all your bases and have a marketing plan
that is diverse."

I believe they are simply trying to keep all the ads LEGAL and having an mention of cock and anal, gives law enforcment probable cause to obtain a search warrant of the escort, and can lead to the attorney generals office going after the webiste that allowed the illegal content to remain. To find more about this see "State of sexaul Freedom in the USA 2011report from the Woodhull sexual freedom alliance"

Could be, Mrs. Robinson, and you make a very good point. What's interesting is that as owner and content writer for Vertical Kitty, I have written ad content for several clients who then post it on their Eros ad. Some of the ads did not pass and others did. Both used similar tag words as they related to each piece and client.

I'm scratching my head on this one. I hear less-than-favorable stories quite frequently about Eros that would sound familiar to most of you in one way or another. But today I heard a story from a friend in the industry who experienced first hand that Eros had banned her new ad! The weird part is that her old ad approved by and previously posted on Eros was far more explicit and used words like cock and anal play. Her new ad didn't use words even close to these.
So what's up with Eros? What are they afraid of? Are they discriminating? Suffering from mood swings? Is this censorship?
